The FFL Transfer Process is the process Viking Kitty Armory follows to transfer a firearm ordered from our website to the customer. Current laws do not allow us, like all Internet-based firearm dealers, to transfer a firearm directly to the customer. Instead, we must transfer the firearm to a Federal Firearm License holder (Receiving FFL Dealer) of the customer’s choice who, in turn, transfers the firearm to the customer. This process is commonly called an “FFL Transfer”.

The FFL Transfer process is fairly standard and a fee is usually charged by the Receiving FFL Dealer for the service of receiving the firearm and transferring it the customer. This fee may, or may not, include any additional charges for any background checks performed. The fee charged by the Receiving FFL Dealer varies and ranges anywhere between $20.00 and $75.00.

Included below are the steps to an FFL Transfer. Viking Kitty Armory strictly follows this process. Please contact Customer Service at customerservice@vikingkittyarmory.com if you have any questions about this process.

1. The customer contacts the Receiving FFL Dealer prior to placing their order on the Viking Kitty Armory website. The customer and the Receiving FFL Dealer should agree on the costs that will be charged by the Receiving FFL Dealer to the customer for the transfer and determine if the customer can legally receive the firearm (bring along a print out of the firearm product page).
2. The customer provides the Receiving FFL Dealer with Viking Kitty Armory’s contact information and requests the Receiving FFL Dealer to FAX or mail a signed copy of their Federal Firearms License (FFL) to Viking Kitty Armory. The customer should ask the Receiving FFL Dealer to include their e-mail address and/or phone number so Viking Kitty Armory can update the Receiving FFL Dealer when the firearm is shipped and provide an expected delivery date.

   Viking Kitty Armory will provide a signed copy of our Federal Firearm License to the Receiving FFL
   Dealer by FAX or e-mail upon request.

3. The customer places their order for the firearm on the Viking Kitty Armory website. The customer must include the Receiving FFL Dealers name and address in the order when prompted.
4. Upon receiving the customer’s order Viking Kitty Armory will wait until the Receiving FFL Dealer has sent a signed copy of their FFL. Please be aware there may be a shipping delay if the Receiving FFL Dealer sends the signed copy of their FFL by mail instead of FAX.
5. When the signed copy of the FFL is received it will be verified with the ATF to make sure it is valid. The Receiving FFL Dealer address provided by the customer must match the Premise Address listed on the Receiving FFL Dealer’s license. Viking Kitty Armory will only ship firearms to the premise address listed on the Receiving FFL Dealer’s license.
6. Viking Kitty Armory will ship the firearm to the Receiving FFL Dealer. The customer and, if contact information is available, the Receiving FFL Dealer will be notified the package has been shipped.
7. The Receiving FFL Dealer will receive the firearm and transfer it to the customer.
