The Saiga is a Kalashnikov variant, semiautomatic, rotating bolt, gas-operated gun that feeds from a box magazine. Recognizable as Kalashnikov-pattern gun (AK-47/AK-74) by the large lever-safety on the right side of the receiver, and the optic mounting rail on the left side of the receiver and the large top-mounted dust cover held in place by the rear of the recoil spring assembly.

Originally manufactured as a sporting gun with a Monte Carlo Style stock by IZHMASH; we modify the new weapon by adding a pistol grip, new furniture, fire control group, and muzzle accessories. We then refinish the gun by media blasting, repainting, and black oxide finish on the delicate sight parts.

Note on Magazines: Saiga firearms are designed to function with factory magazines or magazines specifically designed for the Saiga. Magazines designed for other Kalashnikov-pattern may not function correctly.
